Florida rollercoaster derails: Riders plunge 30ft after carriages come off tracks in Daytona
Rollercoaster passengers fell more than 30ft when a ride derailed at an amusement park in Florida.
Two people were thrown to the ground from the attraction when three carriages came off the tracks at the Daytona Beach Boardwalk.
Emergency workers fought to rescue another 10 people who were trapped in a perilous position in dangling cars on the 80ft-high Sand Blaster ride.
Six riders were taken to hospital on Thursday evening. The extent of their injuries was not clear.
The Daytona Beach Fire Department posted video on Twitter of a rescue crane being used to reach the passengers.
One of the trapped riders appeared to be crawling along the crane with the help of two emergency workers.

According to the fire department, two people fell around 34ft (10m) to the ground when the cars came off the tracks at around 8.30pm. It said a total of 10 riders were rescued.
