Florida man threatened to ‘behead’ 911 dispatchers and ‘execute’ the sheriff, deputies say

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A Florida man has been arrested after he allegedly made several 911 calls on Tuesday, making “violent threats” toward Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office employees, including the sheriff.

Michael Minnuci, 52, made his first 911 call at about 6:24 p.m., according to NBC affiliate WBBH. During his call, he reportedly threatened the operator, saying, “I’m going to light you on fire because I’m a cop b****,” and “I’m going to kill you if you come near me.”

Then, two minutes later, he called again. However, this time, he threatened multiple CCSO supervisors by name, stating, “I want them beheaded. You are dead if you come near me,” adding, “This is not a threat. It’s a fact.”

According to WBBH, the 52-year-old’s third and fourth 911 calls were targeted at Charlotte County Sheriff Bill Prummell.

“I am going to commit arson on Bill Prummell,” he stated.

By the fifth call, Minnuci continued to be hostile toward the operator and refused to listen to them.

“Are you afraid to shoot me, arrest me, or execute me?” he said.

According to WBBH, his number had shown up in the sheriff’s office system from prior incidents. After the repeated calls, dispatchers helped deputies locate Minnuci.

Once deputies found him, Minnuci allegedly denied making the 911 calls. He later admitted to making a 911 call, saying that he only called to “inquire about legal service,” WBBH reported.

Munnci was arrested and is facing a charge of misuse of a 911 or E911 system.
