Florida man charged with murder in Dothan woman’s death

DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — A murder arrest warrant has been obtained for a Panama City Man man that could bring a five-month Dothan murder investigation to a close.

Lt. Scott Owens tells WDHN that investigators obtained a warrant for 41-year-old Santeni D’Angelo Green in the murder of Marisa Allen on Monday, March 11.

Dothan Police Investigators say they believe 32-year-old Allen was killed in her Henry Green Apartment on Dothan’s South Lena Street in October 2023. Officers responded to her apartment on Halloween for a welfare check and found the home empty and the back door unlocked.

According to Dothan Police, on November 6, Allen’s body was found in the bay near Lynn Haven.

Bay County Sheriff’s Investigators say they believe Allen was killed in Dothan and then dumped across state lines.

Bay County Jail records reveal Green was initially arrested in Florida on November 15, 2023, and charged with destroying evidence and fugitive from justice in connection with Allen’s murder and is being held without bond.

Green, who Dothan Police revealed was an acquaintance of Allen’s, will remain in the Bay County Jail until he can be extradited to Alabama to face the charges.
