Costco is the golden star of convenience. When you look past the ever-enticing food samples, you’ll realize that the mega-market has legitimately everything you could ever want and need—including 100 generators.

In light of the devastation wreaking havoc on the Bahamas, one farmer based in Florida, who has chosen to remain anonymous, walked into Costco yesterday and purchased 100 generators to be send to the islands for a whopping $49,285.70. Whoever you are, thank you. We’re sending you our virtual appreciation.

The unnamed man told CNN yesterday, “About 100 generators and a truck load of food and chainsaws are all going over by boat on Thursday to Marsh Harbour in The Bahamas. It's terrible, and I'm sure you've seen the photos."

While the man’s identity remains a mystery, his good deed is most certainly not going unnoticed. In fact, a rouge shopper wandering the aisles of Costco was in the generator aisle and overheard the farmer’s mission. He even snapped a faceless photo. The onlooker, Alec Sprague, took to Facebook to share his appreciation:

Details on the generous delivery are as follows: The generators, food, and other miscellaneous Costco finds will be shipped by boat from the do-good farmer in Jacksonville to his long-time contact, friend, and boat captain, Errol Thurston, who resides in the Bahamas.

Thurston told CNN, “We are trying to book a slot on a container ship that regularly services the Abacos and Grand Bahama…the guys are doing everything in their power to get us in a slot there. They know the desperation—the people really need these items."
