Florida man arrested for threatening young children at bus stop with screwdriver: report

WEST MELBOURNE, Fla. (WFLA) — A Florida man is facing several charges after he allegedly threatened two young children with a screwdriver at their bus stop on Monday.

Kurt Strzesynski, 31, is accused of threatening the children with a screwdriver, demanding they “lay down on the ground to show him respect,” an arrest affidavit obtained by NBC affiliate WESH showed.

Both children complied with Strzesynski’s demands out of fear but were able to report the incident, according to WESH.

When officers arrived at the bus stop to speak with the children, Strzesynski allegedly returned to the scene and ignored officers’ “clear and concise” demands to stop. He was then hit with a stun gun and detained.

According to WESH, police were able to find the red, metal screwdriver with the 31-year-old.

Strzesynski is facing two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, two counts of false imprisonment of a child under 13, and resisting an officer without violence, WESH reported.
