TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A Florida man found himself in hot water after stealing a number of delicacies from his “ambitious shopping list” from Walmart last week, according to the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office.

Careem Griffin, 46, of Jacksonville, was arrested after stealing nine succulent lobster tails, four premium ribeye steaks, two packages of snow crab legs, and a rotisserie chicken at a Walmart on SR-200 in Yulee.

Griffin left the store on the evening of April 3 with a duffel bag, which he also stole, full of the delicacy meats.

When he returned to the same Walmart just three days later, presumably for yet another meat heist, he was instead met with deputies who then arrested him.

Officials said while Griffin’s motives for his shopping spree are unclear, “the allure of fresh lobster tails and premium meats proved too tempting to resist, leading to a confrontation with the law that left him in hot water, both literally and figuratively,” the sheriff’s office wrote.
