Florida Gators football coach Billy Napier signs another former Ragin' Cajuns commit
Former Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns football coach Billy Napier used National Signing Day to nab another former UL commit for Florida.
Hayden Hansen, a tight end from Weatherford High in Texas, signed with the Gators on Wednesday. He's the No. 109 tight end nationally and No. 249 recruit in Texas, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Hansen had been committed to the Cajuns since last fall, but he decommitted around the time Florida hired Napier away from UL late last season.
New UL coach Michael Desormeaux visited Hansen shortly after being named coach of the Cajuns and continued to recruit him in January.

But Hansen, who also was being pursued by UTSA, committed to Florida on Jan. 23, one day after getting an offer from the Gators.

Napier and Florida also got a commitment Tuesday from Cajuns target Scott Isacks, a Country Day product from Metairie expected to join the Gators as a preferred walk-on.

The additions for Florida are among several with UL ties.
Napier flipped former Cajuns commit Christian Williams, an offensive lineman from Texas. Williams signed with Florida during the early signing period in December.
Three former Cajuns also left UL for Florida after entering the NCAA transfer portal. Reserve freshman offensive lineman Kam Waites signed in December, and starting right guard O'Cyrus Torrence and freshman running back Montrell Johnson Jr. joined the Gators in January.
Napier took multiple UL recruiting staff members, strength and conditioning staff members and assistant coaches with him to Florida, including defensive coordinator Patrick Toney.
