These Florida cities are the worst places to drive in, study says

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — If you hate your commute in Florida, you are not alone. A new study from Forbes found that three Florida cities are among the worst places to drive.

Forbes said it came up with the rankings by comparing the 47 most populated cities across four key categories: driving experience, safety, cost of car ownership and access to car maintenance.

Three cities in Florida made the list: Miami, Tampa and Jacksonville.

The study ranked Miami as the second-worst city to drive in in America.

“Miami has high insurance prices, long commutes and slow rush hour speeds, so drivers should prepare for frustration on the road,” the report said.

It said Miami ranked third-worst for the overall cost of car ownership and sixth-worst for overall driving experience.

According to Forbes, a driver in Miami will spend 15 minutes to travel six miles, the 10th longest in the study.

Jacksonville was ranked as the 22nd-worst city to drive in. Tampa ranked at No. 24.
