Florence man killed in single-vehicle accident

FLORENCE, Ala. (WHNT) – One man is dead following an accident in Florence on Monday, police say.

According to the Florence Police Department, officers responded to the area of Darby Drive and Holiday Drive for a single-vehicle accident.

‘Nothing suspicious’: Lincoln Medical Center reopened after threat called in on Tuesday

A man, later identified as Michael Breakfield, was declared dead at the scene, police say.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

The ransomware gang that hacked into U.S. health tech giant Change Healthcare used a set of stolen credentials to remotely access the company's systems that weren't protected by multi-factor authentication, according to the chief executive of its parent company, UnitedHealth. UnitedHealth CEO Andrew Witty provided the written testimony ahead of a House subcommittee hearing on Wednesday into the February ransomware attack that caused months of disruption across the U.S. healthcare system.
