Flooded roads expected to slow Tuesday’s rush hour

MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. — There is a significant concern over flooding on roads south of Creve Coeur Lake. The area has experienced heavy and rushing water since late last night, causing roadways to flood, especially around Creve Coeur Mill Road.

Creeks and streams are overwhelmed by over three inches of rain that fell last night. This is also leading to standing water and ponding in many locations.

The rain has stopped but a flash flood warning remains in effect for St. Louis County. Drivers should allow extra time for commutes because of the wet conditions.
