Flames engulf 2-story home near Buena Vista Golf Course: KCFD

TUPMAN, Calif. (KGET) — A two-story home near the Buena Vista Golf Course went up in flames Saturday evening, according to the Kern County Fire Department.

KCFD said the Emergency Communications Center began receiving reports of a structure fire in the 3000 block of Golf Course Road around 5:40 p.m. A Reinforced Structure Fire response was initiated with units from Old River, Taft, Fellows, Buttonwillow and Lebec responding.

Upon arrival, KCFD said crews were faced with a two-story single family residence approximately 50-75% involved with fire.

An investigation revealed the structure had been vacant for some time, said KCFD. Crews were able to bring the fire under control after several hours.

No injuries were reported in this fire. The cause of this incident is under investigation.
