LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) – On Saturday, the Liberty University football team held their spring game over at Williams Stadium. After 15 practices Flames head football coach Jamey Chadwell got the chance to see what his looks like this far into the spring season.

“When you have your spring game a couple of things you want to see one are we competing with what we’ve put in through 15 practices. Then two, is it clean, and what I mean by that is are we having turnovers and foolish penalties. We did have a couple some penalties that I was disappointed in as far as false starts and some of those things. But from an execution standpoint you know defensively and offensively there was a lot of things I like,” said Chadwell.

One bright spot of the day was former Glenvar high school football star Kyle Hanks received the most improved running back award. The Flames will be back in action in the fall for their season opener as they host Campbell August 31st over at Williams Stadium.
