Five Troup Co. High School students involved in crash

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — According to the Troup County School System (TCSS), at about 12:39 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, five Troup County High School students were involved in a crash.

Two of the passengers were ejected from the vehicle. They have been airlifted to a hospital in Atlanta.

According to TCSS, the car was traveling on Whitfield Road toward Hogansville Road. The car pulled out, crossing across Hogansville Road into the path of a Troup County School System maintenance truck.

Callaway High School student struck by car in parking lot

The truck, a Dodge Ram 3500, struck the back passenger side of the car. The car ended up in the grass.

The conditions of the remaining drivers and passengers are unknown at this time.

The Georgia State Highway Patrol is investigating this crash.
