Five suspects in Parsons kidnapping & robbery arrested, more expected

PARSONS, Kan. — Multiple Kansas law enforcement agencies worked together to apprehend several people allegedly involved with a kidnapping and robbery from February.

The Parsons Police Department says the incident began with a robbery on February 18, where the accuser, a man from Independence, Kansas, was confronted by four armed men while at Robyn Bennett‘s home in Parsons. There, he says he was beaten, stripped down, blindfolded, and driven to a remote Labette County location and dropped off. The suspects then reportedly drove the man back into Parsons to another secluded location and allegedly deserted him once again.

FOUR STATES CRIME…

Since that incident PPD has worked with Woodson County Sheriff’s Office, Labette County Sheriff’s Office, and the Kansas Highway Patrol to locate and arrest the following suspects:

  • Christopher Hilton – arrested on March 4, 2024, in Parsons, KS, by the Labette County Sheriff’s Office, on charges of aggravated robbery, battery and, assault, criminal possession of a weapon, and other crimes.

  • Daquan Edwards – arrested on March 5, 2024, in Parsons, KS, by the Parsons Police Department, on charges of aggravated kidnapping, robbery, battery, and assault, criminal threat, among other charges.

  • Alex Stevens – arrested on March 9, 2024, in Woodson County, KS, by the Parsons Police Department, with assistance from the Woodson County Sheriff’s Office and Kansas Highway Patrol, on charges of aggravated kidnapping, robbery, battery, and assault, and criminal threat, among other charges.

  • Jacqulynn Jenkins, Stevens’ girlfriend, – arrested on March 8, 2024, in Woodson County for Felony Interference and faces charges of Aggravated Kidnapping and Aggravated Robbery in Labette County.

  • Sir Christuffer Roeder – held at the Parsons Police Lockup on other charges, faces charges of Aggravated Kidnapping, Aggravated Robbery, Aggravated Battery, and Aggravated Assault in Labette County.

Bennett and another suspect – Nathaniel Steel – remain at large. Steel has an outstanding warrant out of Labette County for his arrest. Bennett faces kidnapping and robbery charges.
