#FITDC HerStory 5K to close down roads in DC

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The #FITDC HerStory 5K, taking place on March 9, will be closing down several roads and causing possible delays in D.C.

These streets will be posted as Emergency No Parking and closed from approximately 4:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.:

• 13^th St. from E St. to Pennsylvania Ave., NW

• Pennsylvania Ave. from 9^th St. to 14^th St., NW

• 12^th St. from E St. to Constitution Ave., NW

• 11^th St. from E St. to Pennsylvania Ave., NW

• 10^th St. from E St. to Constitution Ave., NW

These streets will be posted as Emergency No Parking from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and closed to traffic from approximately 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.:

• 3^rd St. from Constitution Ave., NW to D St., SW

• Independence Ave. from 3^rd St. to 7^th St., SW

• Constitution Ave. from 3^rd St. to 7^th St., NW

• Pennsylvania Ave. from 3^rd St. to 9^th St., NW

• 4^th St. from Independence Ave. to D St., SW

• D St. from 3^rd St. to 4^th St., SW

The Metropolitan Police Department said the street closures and times are subject to change.

Drivers should expect parking restrictions along the street and should be guided by road signage. All cars parked in restricted zones will be ticketed and towed.
