First Twitter Reactions To Captain America: Civil War

‘Captain America: Civil War’ has been publicly screened for the first time, and while full length reviews (and, of course spoilers) remain strictly embargoed, the first spoiler-free reactions have hit Twitter - and Marvel fans will be happy to hear they are for the most part overwhelmingly positive.

It is of course worth bearing in mind that, very recently, the initial tweets about ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice’ were similarly enthusiastic - but it may be worth noting a great many of these reactions to Marvel’s latest come from established film critics (if this makes a difference to you).

In any case, given it’s another high-profile comic book movie which sees iconic superheroes turn on each other, comparisons to ‘Batman V Superman’ are almost unavoidable:

There was also a lot of enthusiasm for the two new Marvel characters the film brings into the fold, Black Panther and Spider-Man:

Still, not everyone was 100% sold:

Whether fans will feel similarly when the movie comes out remains to be seen, but it says something for Marvel’s faith in the film that they have screened the film for critics three weeks before the film is due to open.

UK audiences can catch ‘Captain America: Civil War’ from 29 April.
