First sighting of attack drones in Russia’s ‘Autonomous’ Republic of Mordovia reported

For the first time, the Republic of Mordovia in Russia faced an attack by two suicide drones, Russian Telegram channel Astra wrote, citing regional governor Artem Zdunov, who reported the incident on Telegram on April 11.

According to him, Russia air defense forces allegedly managed to destroy both drones.

Zdunov also added that there were no casualties as a result of the attack.

Earlier, Russian Defense Ministry reported on alleged destruction of 12 drones over six regions of Russia.

Russian Defense Ministry said that three drones were shot down over Kursk and Tambov oblasts, two over Belgorod and Mordovia, and one over Bryansk and Lipetsk oblasts.
