First Responder Friday: Jeremy Steen

MARLBORO COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — It’s time for another edition of First Responder Friday as News13 honors Grand Strand and Pee Dee first responders.

This week’s nominee is Sgt. Jeremy Steen with the Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office.

Steen has been involved with law enforcement for the past 19 years. Those close to him say he goes above and beyond every day to serve his community and has been an asset to the police force in the county.

You can find Steen answering numerous calls, escorting funerals, attending community events and working to stop to crime and drug problems in the area. Colleagues say he shows professionalism, integrity, and empathy daily with his career.

He’s a problem solver, a leader to his team, has great critical thinking skills and knows how to communicate in high pressure situations.
