First Ohio super load to arrive in Hebron, impact roadways in two counties

HEBRON, Ohio (WCMH) — After a weekend that saw multiple traffic delays on central Ohio roadways, the first of two dozen “super loads” is set to arrive at its final destination.

The first of the oversized loads is expected to be delivered in Hebron on Monday, and it will cause multiple traffic delays across Fairfield and Licking counties, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.

ODOT said that the super load departed at 9 a.m. from Freedom Way and will head east on Tussing Road/State Route 204 towards State Route 310. Other roadways that should have delays from the route include:

  • U.S. 40 in Etna

  • State Route 79 in Hebron

  • Wrong-way on State Route 79 southbound ramp to U.S. 40

The load started in Adams County, and then moved through Lucasville, Chillicothe, and Pickaway County, before arriving at its resting point near Rickenbacker Airport on Friday.

On Saturday, the super load moved through the Groveport area before stopping near Bixby Road for the night. It continued its progress on Sunday through Franklin County before stopping on Freedom Way.
