First Look: Animal Planet's 'My Big Fat Pet Makeover'
More than 50 percent of cats and dogs in the U.S. are overweight, a fact that a new Animal Planet series hopes to change.
Debuting Sept. 30, My Big Fat Pet Makeover follows pet expert and dog trainer as he leads pet owners on a four-month weight-loss and behavior modification program for their beloved animals. As you see in the exclusive first look above, he creates individual exercise and diet plans for the pets, and teaches the owners positive reinforcement training methods.
“My goal for this series is to raises awareness of the pet obesity problem while educating and empowering pet owners to make big changes for their furry family members,” Brorsen says in the announcement. “I’m thrilled to be sharing health, wellness, and training tips to the Animal Planet audiences that will help owners find new ways to love their pets and add years to their life.”
My Big Fat Pet Makeover premieres Sept. 30 at 10 p.m. on Animal Planet.
