Quote: "Fresh Westinghouse nuclear fuel for the Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant's two power units with reactors VVYeR-1000 is already at the plant site. Starting now, all domestic nuclear power plants will use American fuel assemblies. They will be loaded into the reactors of the Khmelnitsky Nuclear Power Plant this year, during scheduled preventive repairs," the report said.

To date, two units have run on Russian fuel purchased prior to the full-scale invasion. After 24 February 2022, Energoatom stopped all cooperation with the aggressor country.

The company completed a number of technical tasks and purchased the necessary equipment for all Ukrainian nuclear power plants with VVYeR-1000 and VVYeR-440 reactors to run on nuclear fuel from the American company Westinghouse.
