Fires Burn at Multiple Masonic Lodges in Vancouver

Police in North Vancouver, British Columbia, said they launched investigations into fires at two separate Masonic lodges on Tuesday, March 30. A third fire was reported at a third hall in East Vancouver.

North Vancouver RMCP said they were notified of a fire at Lynn Valley Lodge at 6:45 am and a second fire at Duke of Connaught Lodge No. 64 (North Vancouver Masonic Centre) shortly before 7 am.

Video captured by Twitter user @rsword, who said it was taken in the early hours of March 30, shows fire crews arriving at the burning Lynn Valley Lodge in North Vancouver.

“We are in the very early stages of this investigation,” Sergeant Peter DeVries of the North Vancouver RCMP said in a statement. “As the investigation unfolds, we will gain a better understanding of the cause of these fires, whether or not they are related, and if the evidence will establish that these were in fact the result of arson.” Credit: @rsword via Storyful
