The fire started in the kitchen and that’s where the damage was concentrated, the chief said. Damage from smoke, flames and water was estimated at $30,000, he said.

Firefighters were dispatched about 10:40 a.m. on the report of a structure fire. The Xenia Fire Division utilized mutual aid from fire departments in Xenia Twp. and Beavercreek Twp., Chief Riggsby said.
