Firefighters respond to fire at Sparta factory
SPARTA, Mich. (WOOD) — Firefighters are responding to a fire at a manufacturing building in Sparta, dispatch said.
Around 9:45, first responders were called to the scene for reports of flames through the roof at a business on Maple Street near E Averill Street NW, according to Kent County dispatch.
It’s unclear how the fire started. There were people working inside at the time but there have been no reports of injuries, dispatch said.
Sparta, Kent City, Algoma Township and Alpine Township fire departments are responding, dispatch said.
