Firefighters knock down vacant house fire in SE Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – The Oklahoma City Fire Department battled a vacant house fire Wednesday morning.

According to OKCFD, firefighters responded to a home near SE 40th St. and I-35 Service Road around midnight on Wednesday.

Officials say a neighbor noticed the flames. When crews arrived, they found the fire in the garage and the front of the house.

They were able to contain the fire and put it out. No one was inside and no injuries have been reported.

According to fire officials, there is extensive fire damaged to the garage and smoke damage to the home.

The cause of this fire has not been determined as the investigation continues.
