Firefighters collecting donations for ‘Fill the Boot’
FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Firefighters will be out at Blackstone and Nees avenues until 2 p.m. Monday on street corners in Fresno collecting donations for their annual “Fill the Boot” event.
The “Fill the Boot” event helps raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Firefighters say the money raised helps to benefit, children going through treatment so they can go to, summer camps this year.
Officials say last year they were able to raise just over $11,000. Their goal this year is to raise $15,000.
