Fire trains tackle major oil tank fires in Omsk, Russia - video
Three oil storage tanks caught fire in Omsk, Russia, affecting an area of approximately 1,000 square meters, Russian Emergencies Ministry reported on Telegram on April 25.
52-gallon tanks are burning near Krasnoyarsk railway. Initially, Ministry of Emergency Situations reported a fire area of 500 square meters, but later said that they had localized fire with an area of 1000 square meters.
The ministry detailed that the effort to contain the blaze involved 58 specialists and 15 pieces of equipment.
Three tanks with oil products were also on fire in Komsomolskoye near Simferopol in Crimea on April 24. According to Crimean Wind monitoring channel, fire killed one person and injured another.
In both instances, the Russian authorities have not provided details on the causes of the fires.
Ukrainian drones attacked two refineries in the Smolensk Oblast of Russia on April 24 - in Yartsevo and Rozdorovo. These bases stored 26,000 cubic meters of Russian fuel, powerful fires broke out at the refineries.
