Fire, road closure expected in Dauphin County community

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) – Some residents in Dauphin County could see smoke throughout the day on Saturday.

The Lower Swatara Fire Department says they and mutual aid departments will be conducting live fire training on an acquired house from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Cockley Road will be closed from Longview Drive to the entrance of Willow Farm Trailer Park. Access to the trailer park will be allowed from the Chambers Hill Road side using Cockley Road.

Those in the area should expect to see fire and smoke while the controlled training is being conducted.

“This is a very valuable training for our members and we thank area residents for your understanding and cooperation,” said the fire department.
