Fire erupts at military airfield in occupied Dzhankoy after missile attack

Missiles struck a military airfield in Russian-occupied Dzhankoy on the night of April 30, igniting a fire that injured at least five Russian soldiers, Russian Telegram channel Astra reported, citing sources in the emergency services of the temporarily occupied Crimea.

Residents reported the explosions and fire at the aerodrome on social media, but representatives of the occupying administration did not comment on the attack.

The Dzhankoy military aerodrome is home to the helicopter regiment of the 4th Air Force and Air Defense Command of the Southern Military District.

This aerodrome has suffered previous attacks, including one on April 17, making this recent incident not the first time it has been targeted.
