Two other tankers that were in the same location were towed without incident on Friday. The tankers were tagged as abandoned on March 4, according to Con Fire.

The third tanker that remained Tuesday still had some sort of substance in it, resulting in the sheriff calling for a hazmat response. Con Fire Hazmat crews at the scene obtained a sample of fluid from inside the tanker, which indicated that it was not hazardous material.

Eastbound traffic on Pacheco Boulevard at Howe Road was shut down as the hazmat team investigated.

Contra Costa County Health and HazMat were also at the scene, officials said.
