One person was injured Sunday night in a fire that damaged the second story of a home on Maki Road in Svensen.
Fire crews responded to the fire around 6 p.m. and were able to contain the blaze to the second story.
“They made the initial attack, knocked the fire down and contained it,” Knappa Fire Chief Kurt Donaldson said.
The injured person was taken by Medix to Columbia Memorial Hospital in Astoria.
