Fire at abandoned building in Huron prompts investigation

HURON, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – An investigation is underway following a fire at a large commercial building in Huron, CalFire said on Tuesday.

On Tuesday evening, firefighters say they were responding to a structure fire at a large abandoned commercial building in Huron. Over 15 firefighters responded to the scene, including EMS standby and support.

Fire officials say the building was vacant and no injuries have been reported to firefighters or civilians. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

A video provided by CalFire shows flames coming out of the roof of the commercial building.

CalFire firefighters were assisted by the Coalinga Fire Department for this incident.

This is an ongoing investigation.
