Finland hands over combat boats to Ukraine

Finland handed over combat boats to Ukraine, but their number is currently unknown, Defense and Security Monitor reported, citing Romanian President Klaus Iohannis on March 18.

According to the publication, the combat boats will be delivered to Ukraine through Romania. There is no information on the number and type of boats yet.

Iohannis also approved information about training 50 Ukrainian soldiers in Romania, who will be taught how to use these boats.

It is also specified that the Finnish Navy has Jehu-class amphibious assault ships and Jurmo and Uisko-class transport ships at its disposal.

On March 19, Finnish government decided to allocate 30 million euros to the Czech initiative to purchase ammunition for Ukraine.

Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo said on March 13 that Russia is preparing for long conflict with West.
