FINALS WATCH: UConn rallies after slow start

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Connecticut has pushed out to a comfortable lead after falling behind by 12 points against Florida early in the first half.

The Huskies went on a 27-6 run for a 31-22 edge on the overall top seed capped by a 3-pointer from Shabazz Napier early in the second half. With 11:22 remaining they still held a 39-31 lead.

DeAndre Daniels led everyone with 10 points and six rebounds in the first half.

Casey Prather had seven first-half points to lead the Gators, who were 2 of 11 over the final 9 minutes and shot 35 percent in the first half.
