Final Presidential Debate: Donald Trump Says He Should Have Won an Emmy

Presidential candidate Donald Trump has been vocal in his charges that the upcoming election has been “rigged.”

Now he’s accusing the Television Academy of being rigged as well.

In the third and final presidential debate on Wednesday, the subject of his reality series “The Apprentice” never having won an Emmy Award was raised when moderator Chris Wallace pressed him on whether he’d accept the results of the Nov. 8 election.

When Trump refused to commit — saying “I’ll keep you in suspense” — his opponent, Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, brought up his pattern of refusing to accept other losses, like the Emmy Awards.

“There was even a time when he didn’t get an Emmy for his TV program three years in a row and he started tweeting the Emmys were rigged against him,” she said.

Trump interrupted her, saying, “Should’ve gotten it.”

“This is a mindset. This is how Donald thinks,” said Clinton. “And it’s funny, but it’s also really troubling.”

The Television Academy quickly responded on Twitter: “Rest assured, the #Emmys are not rigged.”

Users on social media were quick to dig up several of Trump’s tweets from the past complaining about “The Apprentice’s” losses at the Emmy Awards.
