Fight on Interstate 95 shuts down express lanes on Christmas Eve, according to reports

A fight between two men on Interstate 95 near State Road 112 led to the closure of the I-95 express lanes in both directions, according to news reports.

A witness described seeing several officers running through the median with guns drawn.

The police activity had led to congestion in both directions Christmas Eve, according to Total Traffic Miami.

WSVN7 reported that the men were in a car, pulled over and began to fight. The station said an off-duty city of Miami police officer and an off-duty Miami Beach police officer were on the scene soon afterward.

It was not immediately clear if there were any injuries.

The Florida Highway Patrol, which could not be reached Tuesday night, is investigating.
