FHP: One dead in Naples rollover crash
A 66-year-old Naples man died and three others were injured in a rollover traffic crash Saturday night on Immokalee Road.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 9:18 p.m. and involved two sport utility vehicles both headed east on Immokalee Road near Woodcrest Drive.
FHP said that as both vehicles entered the intersection, the driver of one of the vehicles made an abrupt right turn from the center lane into the right lane, directly in front of the other vehicle. The two vehicles collided and one overturned.
The person who died was driving the vehicle that made the abrupt turn, the FHP report said. The driver of the other vehicle, a 48-year-old Naples woman, was seriously injured as were her two passengers, a 46-year-old woman from Henderspn, Nevada and a 16-year old Naples teen.
The crash remains under investigation.
