Fetterman introduces bill to make affordable internet permanent

(WHTM) — U.S. Senator John Fetterman has introduced a bill to make the affordable internet program permanent.

A federal program that provided discounts on broadband for eligible Americans has run out of money and is set to expire at the end of the month. The discounts often covered the monthly bill.

It helped 23 million households, including 700,000 in Pennsylvania.
