OKLAHOMA COUNTY, Okla. (KFOR) – An arrest warrant was issued for a felon who allegedly disobeyed a protective order from the court, broke into his sister’s home in Midwest City, and hid in the attic last week.

“We were so scared,” said Marie who lives a few houses down. She said she grabbed her two little kids and hid when first responders arrived.

Court records show that on March 27, Anthony Paukune was found in the attic of his sister’s home near Northeast 10th and North Post Road, where he wasn’t allowed to be. Officers arrived to find him there and arrested him.

His sister, documents show, has five children who live there as well and she was fearful. So she filed an Emergency Protective Order (EPO) against him.

Paukune was sent to Midwest City Jail and released on March 28. Documents say that Paukune sent Facebook messages that day to his sister that stated he was near her home and watching her.

Documents say he then broke into her home through her son’s window while she was inside with her five children.

Paukune allegedly started chasing her through the home and outside into the neighbor’s yard.

The victim jumped a chain link fence and right after Paukune allegedly tackled her and held her down.

Documents say that she pleaded for him not to kill her and then asked if he had a gun. He told her he did have a gun but that it was in her attic.

When he found out that the police had arrived he took off.

Neighbors who live near the home are on edge, scared that he could come back sometime.

“Man, that is so scary,” said Marie. “We came out here and locked everything.”

“I know that we kept seeing police that night looking around at all of the neighbors, shining their lights,” said James who has lived in the neighborhood for over 50 years. “Days after all of this we kept seeing police come back by several times. Police kept patrolling out here like every hour.”

So far, according to officials, Paukune has not been arrested. He has an arrest warrant out for several charges including burglary, stalking, protective order violation, and domestic assault.

“I hope he is caught soon if that’s the case,” said James.

Paukune has been arrested several times before according to jail records, once for burglary and another for possession of drugs.
