'Feed My Starving Children' event held in Grand Forks

Apr. 28—GRAND FORKS — The annual "Feed My Starving Children" food-packing event was held Friday and Saturday in Grand Forks.

Since the project was initiated 13 years ago, students and others have raised funds and packed meals for Feed My Starving Children, said Jodie Storhaug, who, with her husband Bruce Storhaug, co-chairs the project in Grand Forks.

The goal for this year was to raise $95,000 and pack 320,000 meals during the event held Friday and Saturday at Minnkota Power Cooperative. If that goal is met, it would mean that 877 children will be fed each day for a year.

FMSC is a Christian, nonprofit organization committed to feeding hungry children worldwide. Since it was established, the organization has sent food to children in nearly 70 countries.
