Federal trial begins for former UNM football player accused of robbing postal worker

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The trial for a former University of New Mexico football player accused of robbing a U.S. Postal Service worker is now underway. Rayshawn Boyce, who played for the Lobo football team in 2017, is accused of pointing a gun at a postal worker in 2022 and demanding keys from them. Another former UNM player, Marquae Kirkendoll, is also accused in the case of helping Boyce rob the worker.

District Attorney Discusses Dropped DWI Cases

Authorities say they tracked a Dodge Charger leaving the scene to Boyce who they also say changed the appearance of the car. Authorities also say they found clothes that matched the suspect’s description in surveillance video.
