The FBI is assisting with Mica Miller death investigation. Here’s what we know.

The Federal Bureau of Investigations confirmed it is helping Robeson County investigate Mica Miller’s death, Officer Kevin Wheeler said.

Robeson County requested assistance from the FBI in investigating Mica Miller’s death after she was found shot at a state park in Robeson County, North Carolina, Wheeler told The Sun News. Wheeler said he could not share any additional information.

Mica Miller, 30, of Myrtle Beach, died April 27, 2024. She was found in a North Carolina state park with a gunshot wound to her head. Her death has since been ruled a suicide by North Carolina law enforcement.

Her death has gained national attention and has been the topic of social media posts, many using #justiceforMica. Before her death, she had filed for separation from her husband John-Paul Miller, who is a pastor at Solid Rock Church at Market Common, 803 Howard Ave.

Mica Miller’s family have posted on social media regarding her death. Mica Miller also posted on her Facebook about abuse with the hashtag, “abuseawareness.” John-Paul Miller has denied abusing his wife.
