Fayette County man sentenced for felony drug crime
PAX, WV (WVNS) — A Fayette County man was sentenced to prison for the delivery of methamphetamine.
New details released after remains found in 20-year-old cold case on same day suspect dies
On April 23, 2024, 60-year-old Donald L. Coleman plead guilty and was sentenced to one to fifteen years in prison for the felony offense of delivery of methamphetamine.
Coleman will need to serve the sentence consecutively to his prior sentence for an unrelated conviction for the felony drug crime of conspiracy.
He will need to serve at least one year in prison before he will be eligible for parole.
Fayette County man receives two life sentences for two First-Degree Murder convictions
On two different occasions, Coleman sold suspected controlled substances, later discovered to be methamphetamine, from his house in Pax to a confidential informant who worked with the Central Regional Drug and Violent Crime Task Force in May 2023 and June 2023.
During the first sale, Coleman sold one ounce of methamphetamine. He sold 20 grams in the second sale.
At the times of both sales, Coleman was out on bond for previous pending drug charges.
