Fayette County man facing sexual assault charges

FALLS VIEW, WV (WVNS) — A Falls View man is facing felony charges relating to sexual assault in Fayette County.

According to Sheriff Mike Fridley of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, deputies opened a sexual assault investigation that occurred in Falls View of Fayette County on April 19, 2024. The two people involved were a married couple. Based on what was said from both sides, it was determined that the suspect in the situation had engaged in non-consensual sex with the victim several different times.

Fayette County man sentenced for felony drug crime

The suspect, Raymond L. Withrow, 27 of Falls View, is charged with two counts of Sexual Assault in the Second Degree, and one count of Strangulation. He was sentenced by a Fayette County Magistrate and also failed to post bond.

Withrow will be take to Southern Regional Jail to wait for his court date.
