Fayette County man facing drug charge after traffic stop

MEADOW BRIDGE, WV (WVNS) — A 36-year-old Fayette County man was arrested and now faces a felony drug charge after a routine traffic stop in the county.

According to a press release, Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputies carried out a routine traffic stop on a car driven by Phillip R. Brandstetter, 36, of Danese, for a minor traffic offense. During the stop, the deputies obtained probable cause to search the car.

During the search, deputies found various amounts of different types of drugs that were believed to be Methamphetamines, Heroin, and Fentanyl.

Brandstetter was arrested and charged with the felony charge of Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance.
