What’s your favorite boba place in Modesto? Newest tea shop to open on McHenry Avenue
Modesto soon will have its 10th boba shop, this one in the North Point Landing shopping center.
Tealight Drinks and Snow, at 3848 McHenry Ave., Suite 120, is replacing Boba Pub with a soft opening goal of June 1. The grand opening will be July 1 pending renovations and inspections, said owner Nam Tran.
Tealight was founded around seven years ago in Morgan Hill. Modesto will be the business’ second location.
The menu features a make-your-own milk tea option with 10 tea bases including jasmine, Thai and white peach oolong and 19 flavor and topping options including lavender taro, honeydew strawberry and peach-flavored bursting basil seeds.
Signature drinks include the Scarlet’s Kiss (strawberry jasmine tea with honey boba and basil seeds) and the Milky Way (hojicha milk tea with house crème brulée and honey boba swirled with chocolate syrup).
Smoothies, Viet coffee drinks, slushes and shaved snow are also served. Prices range from $4.95 to $6.95, or more if you add extra toppings and flavors.
