Lipslut, Your Fave Philanthropic Lipstick Brand, Is Donating Profits to Protect Abortion Rights

From now through May 24, all of the brand's proceeds will support reproductive justice organizations.

From the brand that brought you a F*ck Trump, F*ck Kavanaugh, and a Ruth Bader Ginsburg lipstick comes something rarely seen in corporate-social justice: a good old-fashioned fundraiser.

From now through May 24, Lipslut will donate 100 percent of its earnings to reproductive justice organizations. In the wake of anti-abortion laws in Alabama and Missouri, the brand decided to put its money where its perfectly made-up mouth is. Sales from every product on the site (except its limited-run Batch—001 collection) will go to organizations that, in the brand's words, "provide reproductive health care, work to make abortion more accessible, and fight to take down unfair laws."

"Seeing the safety, rights, and autonomy of millions of women being stripped is, quite frankly, a waking nightmare," Lipslut founder Katie Sones tells Allure. "I don’t want myself or anyone else to live in a world where we’re not in control of our own bodies."

Concerned citizens-slash-beauty fans can choose from four lip products that are as distinctly unsubtle as a group of male politicians fist-bumping after depriving women of safe abortions. There's [Fck Trump, a matte nude pink; Fck Kavanaugh](https://www.lipslut.com/fck-trump){: rel="nofollow"}, a muted matte red; Leftylibglobalistsantifacommiesocialisthollyweirdopigs, a plum that gets its name from a particularly hilarious rude email; and, for more positive energy, Notorious RBG, a berry pink. Each lipstick donation costs $19.95.

"A world without abortion will never exist," says Sones. "I hope this fundraiser can help support the organizations that fight to keep its practice safe, legal, and accessible. I also hope to push the conversation around this topic, and to inspire people to raise their voices about what they believe in."

You have until May 24 to make your donation and get a cute lip color to boot. If you prefer to help directly, here are suggestions on how else to donate money and time to keep abortion safe and legal.
