Fatalities Reported in Beauregard, Alabama, After Tornado Hits 'Like a Freight Train'

At least 23 people were killed and a number of homes razed after a violent tornado hit the town of Beauregard, in Lee County, Alabama, on March 3.

Tornadoes devastated a number of towns in Georgia and Alabama. Local reports said the death toll in Lee County was likely to rise.

In this footage, filmed by Scott Fillmer, debris from surrounding woodland is scattered across a road, while houses can be seen reduced to rubble. He said Lee County Road 100 was “impassable.”
