Fatal shooting in Logan Square sparks police investigation

CHICAGO — An investigation is underway after a man was shot to death on the city’s Northwest Side early Saturday morning.

Officers with the Chicago police department say the victim, a 29-year-old man, was found just after 6:30 a.m. in the 2600 block of North Sawyer Avenue in Logan Square.

According to police, the man had suffered several gunshot wounds to his body and was pronounced dead on the scene.

Currently, it is unclear what led to the shooting and no arrests have been made.

Officers say they are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the deadly shooting.

Authorities have not yet identified the victim killed.
