Fatal accident on Woodruff Road claims life of 44-year-old man in Columbus. What we know
A 44-year-old man has been killed in an accident on Woodruff Farm Road in Columbus Tuesday afternoon.
The victim has been identified as Jerry Lewis Willis, 44. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision in the 2900 block of Woodruff Farm Road, according to Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan.
Police said they responded to the call of the accident around 1:55 p.m.
Columbus police are asking people to avoid the area, according to a post from the department’s X page.
